Poolside Makeup Look

When I was a guest at my friend's house last weekend we were having a bit of makeup fun and we came up with the idea of a quick photo tutorial.
I had only the essentials with me but with the help of the wonderful Zaira from PuntiLuceBlog the perfect poolside makeup look came to life! Here I will talk about the product I used a little bit, head over to her blog for more photos!

Poolside Makeup
I started by mixing La Roche Posay Anthelios Aquagel SPF 30 with Make Up Forever Full Cover Concealer (I use shade n.6): sunscreen is a must and the concealer mixed in gives a natural looking base that's waterproof too. This sunscreen is really light on the skin, I love it!

Then I patted a bit more of the concealer under my eyes to cover that area a bit more (this covers everything, looks natural and stays put) and used my MAC Pro Longwear Bronzer in Nude On Board (I talked about it here) to give my skin a lovely glow concentrating the majority of the products on my cheekbones.

On the eyes I patted a bit of the Sephora Velvet Waterproof Eyeshadow in Beige Rose all over the lid to brighten and add to overall glow of the look, followed by my favourite waterproof mascara, the L'Oreal False Lash Flutter Waterproof. It volumizes, lengthens and defines the lashes without making them hard or leaving residues under the eyes. It is really waterproof too!

The gorgeous Chanel gloss and Dior Aloha nail polish perfected the look with their wonderful orangey coral summer hues.

Here it is, a simple look with waterproof longwearing products that is perfect for a day by the pool!
Tell me, do you like to wear makeup at the pool, or at the beach? Which products do you rely on?

MAC Pro Longwear Bronzer Nude On Board

Ditemi, vi piace truccarvi in piscina o in spiaggia? A quali prodotti vi affidate?

  1. That's so smart! I should try mixing SPF with my MUFE concealer next time I go to the beach/pool. I really want to get the MAC bronzer you mentioned here! Great post! xx

  4. Great picks, Gyudy! I never wear makeup to the pool/beach, because I don't want to deal with the possibility of it melting! I've been toying with the idea of getting that waterproof MUFE brow gel though. I think that might really come in handy!

  5. Checked out the photo's on PuntiLuceBlog! You look so cute putting you're makeup on by the pool. :-) I love making my base waterproof by adding in a water-resistant spf with my foundation or underneath it.

  6. Beautiful selection! I usually wear a high SPF sunscreen and a waterproof mascara at the beach or poolside. Anything else just seems to melt off my face! LOL!

  7. If it's as good as everyone says should be a good summer buy!
Usually I just wear a bit of concealer under my eyes and waterproof mascara, but this look held up really well and I will be recreate it if needed in the future! :) xx

  8. Thank you! :) Having a waterproof base is great for really humid weather (or the pool!) and I have to say that this MUFE concealer is really amazing for that! It just doesn't budge ;) xx
