What I Bought - Barcelona

Barcelona Haul

While I was in Barcelona (read my post about it here!) I knew I wanted to do a bit of shopping, and I knew I wanted to check Bobbi Brown and Bourjois since I usually can’t see them in person.

As soon as I went to Plaça de Catalunya I headed to the huge Sephora that can be found in the shopping centre El Triangle. It really is huge and beautiful, with a huge Make Up Forever corner. After a quick look around I spotted Bourjois, so I headed there and immediately began swatching the Rouge Edition Velvet liquid lipsticks. I was undecided between at least four shades, but in the end I went for 05 Olé flamingo!. It swatched beautifully and was also gorgeous sheered out, so it won over the others. If I end up loving the formula I can always order a couple of other shades online!

Then I immediately went to the other shopping center, El Corte Ingles, which has a lot of wonderful beauty counters. Again, after a quick look around I immediately went to Bobbi Brown. There were a lot of gorgeous things but in my head I knew it was a foundation what I really wanted to try. I settled on the Skin Foundation Stick but since it wasn’t available in my shade I went for the Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation, which was the other one I wanted to try. Being a huge foundation lover I’m so excited to try this!

In a pharmacy I then spotted Korres. It was once available in my city but the selection of products was limited, and the thing I really wanted to try was their Lip Butters. So obviously I went for the Pomegranate Lip Butter, since it was the most appealing to me color wise. Finally I got my hands of one of these!

The other beauty buys were all done at the airport. I got a Travalo to carry around Roger&Gallet Gingembre which I love but have a really big bottle of. It was pretty cheap too, and the sleek silver look of it was too good not to get. Then, when my boyfriend spotted the travel exclusive Coca-Cola minis by OPI we immediately knew they were coming home with us. The colours are all gorgeous and the Coca-Cola Red is simply stunning! The last thing I had in mind to check was The Body Shop. I wanted to get a Body Sorbet but it was to big for my carry-on luggage to buy in a shop, so I bought it at the airport and when for the gorgeous Mango one. The texture of this is really amazing, I love it!

It’s always good to buy things on holiday, they get a little bit more special for that reason!

Have you bought something on holiday this summer? Are you interested in hearing my thoughts on something in particular?

È davvero grande e bellissimo, con un enorme settore Make Up Forever.

Avete comprato qualcosa in vacanza ultimamente? Siete interessati a sapere la mia opinione su qualcuno di questi prodotti in particolare?

  1. Ahh you went to Barcelona! Jealous! That's one of my favorite cities ever! That OPI mini set is amazing! I saw one with 4 shades, but I seldom paint my nails so I had to let it go. I've heard great things about the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets as well :)

  2. Barcelona is so beautiful! :) The OPI set was too good to be left there, I love it! The Bourjois Rouge velvet is literally flaking off my lips though, not sure it's a good thing... The colour is beautiful though! ;) xx

  3. Ouch I'm so sorry to hear that! The Hourglass formula also flakes on me after food. I think the oil breaks the formula down in a bad way.

  5. You picked up some great stuff. Duty-free/Travel Exclusive items are so fun. Our stores at home carry them because we are considered one of those jurisdictions, but we never get new stuff. I feel like it's the same travel items for years and although some of it is nice, it would be so awesome to have access to things the OPI set you picked up. Actually, I think I am going to start a new series of Duty Free/Travel Exclusives sometime in October. What do you think? Anyway, it's so cool that the Sephora's in Europe carry Bourjois! Though I see from your comment below that it's flaking off your lips so not cool. Finally, yes, I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on the Bobbi Brown foundation! Not tried much from that brand either.

  12. Totally in for the Travel Exclusive series, I always see beautiful sets but I'm never really sure if they're worth it! I'd love to hear your thoughts! I wish Sephora in Italy did the same with Bourjois, we're slowly getting better (Nars and Marc Jacobs in less than a year has been a miracle, and then Formula X! I couldn't believe it!) but there's still space for improvement ;) Yeah, the lipstick literally flaked off my lips in the center, it was after a few hours but without eating or even drinking as I'd been busy around... Let's see how that goes in the future! The foundation behaved well, I'll try in a couple of different views and then a review will come! ;) xx
