September Favourites

This month I’ve been trying out loads of new things: skincare, primers, foundations… And for this reason it was quite hard to immediately find my favourites. But, as it always happens, after the first panic moment everything came to mind and I remembered products I truly loved.

Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado

I used this eye cream ages ago, loved it but never repurchased it. But when I received a sample at the beginning of the month I instantly remembered why I loved it: rich but not greasy, it hydrates the eye area like nothing else. The consistency is quite strange but brilliant at the same time: it starts thick but turns almost liquid. And here’s the best part: I pat it in with my ring fingers, and when I get to the final step of smoothing it out to ensure I applied it evenly I’m able to do it without disturbing the delicate skin in the eye area. A true winner!

NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base

After a whole summer of wearing pretty much only Benefit They’re Real Push-Up Liner I started wearing eye shadow more and more again, and this primer is a true essential for me. It keeps eyeshadow in place for hours and hours and it so quick and easy to apply, as it’s clear once applied. A true holy grail!

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Blush in #330, Rosy Plum

It was the month of the cream blush rediscover for me, as I’ve been wearing them more than ever. I’ve been enjoying this MUFE one the most, as it’s a gorgeous pink that gives the most natural lovely glow to the skin. I’ve reviewed it and swatched it alongside the others cream blushes in my collection for a guest post on Expat Make Up-Addict, you can find it here!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Sabbath

This is a gorgeous navy eye liner that goes on super smoothly and glossy but then dries down to a nearly completely mat finish. I love to wear it as an eye liner, doing the flick picking up the product with an angled brush. It lasts all day and it looks so, so good on. I’ve been wearing it a lot!

L’Oréal Color Riche Nail Polish in #855 Oyster Bay

This nail polish is from my favourite nail polish line, L’Oréal Paris Color Riche. It’s a gorgeous light nude with a slightly gold reflect that’s very chic. You can see it on this Instagram photo, even though it’s a tiny bit darker in real life! And… You know the best part? I’ve been able to wear this for two weeks, paired with The System from Formula X! I removed it because I couldn’t stand nail showing from the base… Amazing!

Questo mese sono stata impegnata a provare tantissime nuove cose: skincare, primers, fondotinta… E per questa ragione è stato particolarmente difficile identificare immediatamente i miei prodotti preferiti. Poi, come sempre accade, dopo il primo momento di panico mi è tornato tutto in mente e mi sono ricordata di prodotti che mi sono davvero piaciuti.

Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado

Ho usato questo contorno occhi tantissimo tempo fa, mi è piaciuto ma non l’ho mai ricomprato. Quando ho ricevuto un camioncino all’inizio del mese mi sono immediatamente ricordata perché mi piaceva: ricco ma non grasso, idrata l’area del contorno occhi come nient’altro. La consistenza è piuttosto strana ma anche geniale: all’inizio è piuttosto spesso, ma poi diventa praticamente liquido. Ed è qui la parte migliore: lo tampono con i polpastrelli, e quando arrivo allo step finale di stenderlo con le dita per essere sicura di averlo applicato in maniera omogenea sono in grado di farlo senza disturbare l’area delicata del contorno occhi. Fantastico!

NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base

Dopo un’intera estate in cui ho indossato praticamente solo Benefit They’re Real Push-Up Liner ho ricominciato a indossare gli ombretti sempre di più, e questo primer è davvero essenziale. Fa durare gli ombretti per ore ed ore ed è così semplice e veloce da applicare, visto che diventa trasparente una volta applicato. Un prodotto indispensabile!

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Blush in #330, Rosy Plum

È stato il mese della riscoperta dei blush in crema per me, visto che li ho indossati sempre di più. Questo è stato quello che ho indossato di più, ed è un meraviglioso rosa che dona alla pelle una bellissima luminosità naturale. L’ho recensito e swatchato insieme agli altri blush in crema che possiedo per un post sul blog Expat Make Up-Addict, potete trovarlo qui!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil in Sabbath

Questa è una meravigliosa matita blu scuro che scorre morbidissima e lucida e poi si asciuga in maniera quasi praticamente opaca. Mi piace indossarlo come eye liner, facendo la codina prendendo il prodotto con un pennello angolato. Dura tutto il giorno ed è davvero meraviglioso. L’ho portato un sacco!

L’Oréal Color Riche Nail Polish in #855 Oyster Bay

Questo smalto è della mia linea di smalti preferita, la Color Riche de L’Oréal Paris. È un meraviglioso nude chiaro con un leggero riflesso dorato veramente chic. Potete vederlo in questa foto su Instagram, anche se è leggermente più scuro dal vivo! E… Volete sapere la parte migliore? Sono stata in grado di indossarlo per due settimane, abbinato a The System Formula X! L’ho tolto perché non potevo sopportare l’unghia scoperta alla base… Fantastico!

PLAYLIST #1 - Current Favourites

I've been meaning to talk about music for a while, since it's always been a huge part of my life. I used to spend hours singing along to whole albums reading the words until I knew them all, and it was amazing!

Nowadays I pretty much just listen to music while driving, so... This favourites are from the only radio channel I listen too, Virgin Radio. I don't know if it's the same everywhere but here in Italy it's meant to only play rock music. Obviously it's a bit of a generic definition and not everything is strictly rock, but that's why I love it so much!

Today I'm sharing with you my current favourites, a mixture of new and oldish tunes that I really enjoy. I hope you like it!

Sephora It Palette GIVEAWAY

È da un po' che desidero parlarvi di musica, visto che è sempre stata una parte importantissima della mia vita. Ero solita passare ore a cantare interi album leggendo le parole finché non le sapevo tutte, ed era fantastico!

L'altro giorno è successa una cosa fantastica. Questo blog ha raggiunto 250 followers su bloglovin'!

Top 10 | TAG

I was tagged by the lovely Renata of Speaking Beauty UK to do the Top 10 Tag. Thank you! I’m really happy to have the opportunity of doing it since I’ve been enjoying reading it so much! So… Let’s start!

Foundation

Make me choose between million lipsticks, blushers, eyeshadows… But don’t ask me to choose one foundation. I just can’t! I’m a huge foundation lover and if something works for me and there is a color match, I love it. If I had to chose only one though, it would probably been this recent one from Benefit, Big Easy. I haven’t worn it in a few weeks as shade 3 has become slightly light for me, but from the moment I got it until I’ve been able to wear it there hasn’t been a day I wasn’t wowed by it. I have a full raving review here!

Concealer

This one though is quite a no-brainer for me. I’ve always struggled to find a good concealer that covered without creasing on me, and I’d been using MAC Studio Finish for a while without being too sure about it. Then I discovered this gem, Make Up For Ever Full Cover. It covers absolutely everything and as long as you pat it in over a well moisturized area, building it as needed, it doesn’t look dry or cakey. It’s waterproof and I think the reason it holds and covers so well is that it truly seems to cling to the skin as you put it on, and it’s great both on under eyes and on blemishes or redness on the face. A keeper!

Powder

Another faithful fried here, MAC Blot Powder. I have repurchased it countless times and it’s simply the best powder I’ve ever tried. It’s invisible on the skin, never looks powdery and manages to keep shine at bay while feeling comfortable on the skin even in the depths of winter. It’s even lighter and more invisible than HD powders! I really can’t be without it.

Blush

This wasn’t the easiest one to choose, as I’m a big fan of the Satin blushes from MAC too. But NARS it’s without a doubt the best when it comes to blush and this one called Outlaw is simply my favourite. It’s quite a dark and pigmented one so you might need to master the application a few times, but it’s a dark plummy pink with a gorgeous really fine shimmer running through that it looks amazing on the cheeks. A firm love that it’s perfect for the upcoming autumn!

Bronzer

I’m sorry to tease you with a limited edition MAC offer, but since it’s already been repromoted I have high hopes that it’ll happen again. This Pro Longwear Bronzer in Nude On Board it’s my favourite as it’s a true golden bronzer that’s really flattering on my skin tone. As the name suggest it’s really long lasting and the fine shimmer in it makes the skin look glowy without being too much. It’s foolproof to apply and I really recommend you to try it when MAC brings it out again! You can see it swatched here.

Highlighter

I’m really sorry, but it’s another limited edition product from MAC. Again, this one or other shades are pretty regular in their collections so I hope you’ll be able to find it soon. This Whisper Of Guilt Extra Dimension Skinfinish has a really unique texture (almost creamy while being a really compact powder!) and gives the most gorgeous slightly golden glow to the skin. A little bit goes a long way and it can be applied lightly or pretty intensely without looking like a disco ball since the shimmer is so fine. It’s the only highlighter I actually wear pretty regularly, so I had to include it!

Mascara

I’m not sure the one pictured is actually my all time favourite, but simply because I have many favourites from the L’Oréal offer that I couldn’t really chose between them too (this one I reviewed in one of my first posts maybe is the one!). If it wasn’t so expensive Lancôme Grandiôse would have gone straight to the top though: it’s perfect! Volume and blackness at first swipe, I haven’t had a single bad mascara day since I started using it. I reviewed it here, have a look for applications tips too!

Eyeshadow

This was a hard and a easy one at the same time. I am pretty sure my favourite eye shadows come from Too Faced as the quality is just the best, but I couldn’t chose which palette include here. In the end I went for this one as it’s one of my most used ones and has a huge variety of shades (with some fantastic face products included!). The A Few Of My Favorite Things Palette was limited edition from last year but the point here is: read a couple reviews to make sure you’re getting a good one that’s right for you but don’t hesitate too much, you won’t go wrong with Too Faced!

Brows

This was the easiest choice ever as it’s the only thing I’ve worn on my brows in the last year: Benefit GimmeBrow! Perfect eyebrows in a few swipes, and you can fill them in too using the tip of the applicator. I haven’t heard any bad word about it (bare in mind that for brows that need to be draw in places a pencil or powder has to be used alongside this!) and if you haven’t tried it, do it.

Lipstick

Slightly cheating here, but I’m giving you the honest answer. Dior Addict Lip Glow is what I’m wearing on my lips most days! It’s basically a gorgeous tinted lip balm and it gives my lips color and moisture, so it’s really the perfect lip product. If you’ve been hesitant to splurge on this I’m going to give you the final spur to go and splash an enormous amount of money on a lip balm. Trust me, it’s worth it.

Fondotinta

Fatemi scegliere tra milioni di rossetti, blush, ombretti… Ma non chiedetemi di scegliere un solo fondotinta. Non posso! Sono una grande amante dei fondotinta e se qualcosa funziona e c’è un buon colore per me, mi piace. Se dovessi sceglierne solo uno però, sarebbe probabilmente questo di Benefit abbastanza recente, Big Easy. Non lo indosso da qualche settimana visto che la tonalità numero 3 è diventata leggermente troppo chiara per me, ma dal momento un cui l’ho comprato finché sono stata in grado di metterlo non c’è stato un giorno in cui non mi abbia piacevolmente stupita. Ho scritto un’entusiasta recensione completa qui!

Correttore

Al contrario qui posso dare una risposta sicura. Ho sempre fatto fatica a trovare un correttore che coprisse e non andasse nelle pieghe, e ho usato lo Studio Finish di MAC per un bel po’ senza essere completamente convinta. Poi ho scoperto questo gioiello, Make Up For Ever Full Cover. Copre tutto e finché viene tamponato su un’area ben idratata, costruendolo se necessario, non appare secco o pastoso. È waterproof e penso che la ragione per cui copra così bene e duri così tanto sia che sembra aggrapparsi alla pelle durante l’applicazione, ed è fantastico sia sul contorno occhi sia su brufoli o rossori sul viso.

Cipria

Ecco un altro fedele amico, MAC Blot Powder. L’ho ricomprata numerose volte ed è semplicemente la migliore cipria che io abbia mai usato. È invisibile sulla pelle, non appare mai polverosa e riesce a mantenere lontana la lucidità rimanendo confortevole anche nel freddo invernale. È ancora più invisibile e leggera delle ciprie HD! Non posso davvero farne a meno.

Blush

Questa non è stata una scelta facile, visto che sono anche una grande fan dei blush Satin di MAC. NARS però è senza dubbio la miglior marca in fatto di blush e il mio preferito è Outlaw. È piuttosto scuro e pigmentato quindi bisogna fare un po’ di pratica nell’applicazione, ma è un rosa scuro tendente al prugna meravigliosamente shimmer ed è favoloso sulle guance. Un fermo preferito che è perfetto per l’autunno in arrivo!

Terra

Mi spiace di struzzicarvi con un’edizione limitata MAC, ma visto che è stato già riproposto spero che succeda di nuovo. Questo Pro Longwear Bronzer in Nude On Board è il mio preferito visto che la sua tonalità davvero dorata che sta benissimo con la mia pelle. Come suggerisce il nome dura molto a lungo e il sottile shimmer che lo attraversa fa risplendere la pelle senza risultare eccessivo. È immediato nell’applicazione e vi consiglio di provarlo la prossima volta che MAC lo ripropone! Potete vedere uno swatch qui.

Illuminante

Mi dispiace davvero, ma è un’altra edizione limitata MAC. Di nuovo, questo o altre tonalità sono piuttosto regolari nelle loro collezioni quindi spero che sarete in grado di trovarlo presto. Questo Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Whisper Of Guilt ha una texture davvero unica (quasi cremosa pur essendo una polvere molto compatta!) e dona alla pelle la più meravigliosa luminosità leggermente dorata. Ne basta pochissimo è può essere applicato con leggerezza o più intensamente senza apparire esagerato visto che lo shimmer è così sottile. È l’unico illuminante che indosso abbastanza regolarmente quindi non potevo non includerlo!

Mascara

Non sono sicura che quello che c’è in foto sia il mio preferito di sempre, semplicemente perché ho così tanti preferiti dalla selezione L’Oréal che non sono riuscita a scegliere (questo recensito in uno dei miei primi post forse è il top!)… Se non fosse così caro però Lancôme Grandiôse sarebbe andato dritto in cima alla lista: è perfetto! Volume e super nero alla prima passata, non ho avuto una giornata negativa in fatto di mascara da quando ho iniziato ad usarlo! L’ho recensito qui, date un’occhiata anche per qualche consiglio per l’applicazione!

Ombretto

Questa è stata una scelta difficile e semplice allo stesso tempo. Sono abbastanza sicura che i miei ombretti preferiti siano i Too Faced visto che la qualità è semplicemente la migliore, ma non riuscivo a scegliere quale palette includere. Alla fine ho deciso per questa visto che ha una grande varietà di colori (e in più dei meravigliosi prodotti viso!). La Palette A Few Of My Favourite Things era un’edizione limitata dell’anno scorso ma il punto è questo: leggete un paio di recensioni per essere sicuri di fare una buona scelta che sia giusta per voi ma non esitate troppo, non potete sbagliare con gli ombretti Too Faced!

Brows

Questa è stata la scelta più facile visto che è l’unica cosa che ho usato sulle sopracciglia nell’ultimo anno: Benefit GimmeBrow! Sopracciglia perfette in un paio di passate, e potete anche riempirle usando la punta dell’applicatore! Non ho sentito neanche una parola negativa (ricordate però che sopracciglia che necessitano di essere totalmente disegnate in certi punti avranno bisogno dell’aiuto di una polvere o una matita) e se non l’avete ancora provato, fatelo.

Lipstick

Sto imbrogliando leggermente qui, ma vi sto dando la risposta sincera. Dior Addict Lip Glow è quello che indosso sulle labbra quasi tutti i giorni! È praticamente un meraviglioso balsamo labbra colorato che dona alle labbra colore e idratazione, quindi è davvero il prodotto labbra perfetto. Se avete esitato a prenderlo vi darò la spinta finale per spendere un’enorme somma su un burro labbra. Credetemi, ne vale la pena.

New Sephora Brushes

I love Sephora brushes: apart from a couple MAC must haves and the random love they’re my absolute favourites. Their reasonable price point and awesome quality makes them the biggest part of my collection, and there isn’t a day I don’t use at least one of them.

Sephora recently revamped its offer adding the new PRO line and repackaging the Classic one with classy mat black handles and new (at least from what I see) bristles, adding a few brushes too. Since I couldn’t leave them here without trying them I slowly accumulated three, picking ones that were lacking in my collection.

Pro Angled Blush Brush #49

This angled but slim blush is perfect for contouring and highlighting, and even careful application of pigmented blushes. My usual blush brush (an old Revlon one that I love so much!) has quite stiff bristles so it has the tendency to pick up product really well. With really pigmented blushes this can be a bit of a problem, so this one is perfect as it’s so soft! It applies highlighter effortlessly and fits perfectly under the cheekbones. It’s really great!

Pro Flawless Airbrush #56

This is the “famous” foundation brush that gets lots of love on blogs. And well, as someone who hates applying foundation with brushes I can totally see why. I have to admit it’s not one that I use everyday or a lifesaver, but for the few formulas that I like to use brushes with it’s perfect for me. I don’t like the streaky look of standard flat foundation brushes but I don’t like how buffing brushes seem to leave the foundation sitting on top of my skin, so this is the perfect middle ground. You can use it both ways and it allows to really melt the product into the skin. It works better with more liquid formulas (something like Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish looks too obvious with this one) and it’s what made me fall back in love with Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet.

Straight Liner Brush #91

This is the brush I was looking for. When I wear eyeshadow on my lower lash line I don’t always want a super smokey look and this is perfect for that! Allows precise application of eyeshadow on the upper lash line too and well, it’s great. It’s not hard but not so soft to loose its this shape, and I love the new mat black look of the handle. It was time they added this to the line!

I’ve been really impressed with these new Sephora brushes, and I’m glad they’ve added more to their already pretty good lineup. Totally recommended!

Amo i pennelli Sephora: tranne un paio di irrinunciabili MAC e qualche preferito sparso sono i miei preferiti in assoluto. Il prezzo ragionevole e la fantastica qualità fanno sì che siano predominanti nella mia collezione, e non c’è giorno in cui io non ne usi almeno uno.

Sephora ha recentemente rilanciato i suoi pennelli aggiungendo la nuova linea PRO e rifacendo il packaging alla linea Classica con bellissimi manici neri opaco e nuove (almeno per quello che vedo) estone, aggiungendone anche alcuni. Visto che non potevo lasciarli lì senza provarli ne ho lentamente aggiunti tre alla mia collezione, scegliendone alcuni che non avevo.

Pennello Blush Obliquo #49

Questo pennello angolato è perfetto per l’illuminante e per il contouring, ed anche per l’applicazione attenta di blush pigmentati. Il mio solito pennello da Blush (un vecchio Revlon che amo moltissimo) ha setole piuttosto dure e per quasi ha la tendenza a raccogliere il prodotto molto bene. Questo può essere un problema con blush particolarmente pigmentati, e questo essendo così morbido è perfetto! Applica l’highlighter in un attimo e è perfetto per la zona sotto gli zigomi. È davvero ottimo!

Pennello Fondotinta Precisione Finish Naturale #56

Questo è il “famoso” pennello da fondotinta che riceve così tanto amore sui blog. Ebbene, essendo una che odia applicare il fondotinta con i pennelli capisco perfettamente perché. Devo ammettere che non è un pennello che uso tutti i giorni o che mi abbia cambiato la vita, ma è perfetto per quelle poche formule di fondotinta che mi piace applicare con il pennello. Non mi piace l’effetto striato dei classici pennelli da fondotinta piatti ma non mi piace come i pennelli “buffing” fanno sì che il fondotinta rimanga “sopra” alla mia pelle, e questo è la perfetta via di mezzo. Si può usare in entrambi i modi e permette di fondere veramente il prodotto con la pelle. Funziona meglio con formule piuttosto liquide (fondotinta come il Long-Wear Even Finish di Bobbi Brown ha un effetto troppo ovvio con questo pennello) ed è ciò che mi ha fatto innamorare di nuovo di Perfection Lumiere Velvet di Chanel.

Pennello Eyeliner Dritto #91

Questo è il pennello che stavo cercando. Quando indosso l’ombretto sotto le ciglia inferiori non voglio sempre un effetto super smokey e questo è perfetto! Permette l’applicazione precisa dell’ombretto anche sulla linea delle ciglia superiori e bene, è fantastico. Non è duro ma non è nemmeno troppo morbido da perdere la forma, e mi piace il nuovo manico nero opaco. Era ora che lo aggiungessero alla loro offerta di pennelli!

Sono rimasta molto colpita da questi nuovi pennelli Sephora, e sono contenta che ne abbiano aggiunti di nuovi alla loro già buona selezione. Totalmente consigliati!

Testing Samples - Primers

Make Up Forever HD Primer

First, let’s take a moment to appreciate how cute this little miniature is. It’s great! This primer is a sheer white lotion that is meant to improve application and wear of foundation, creating a barrier between skin and makeup and offering some skincare benefits too. It makes a really nice smooth base for foundation, and maybe improves wear time too, but I don’t usually have that problem as long as I use a sheer veil of powder, so I can’t comment on that. What I really love using this for is to sheer out foundation formulas to make them more tinted moisturizer like: this is what I used last spring to get through my Armani Luminous Silk that was unbearably thick and visible on the skin for me.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - Protect

Offering SPF 30/PA +++, is a great primer for summer. It looks and smell just like a light sunscreen, and I don’t know why but it works. It has the same purpose of the MUFE one of creating a barrier between skin and makeup, and I think it does it better. It’s also unbelievably light on the skin given the lotion SPF-like consistency, and every foundation I used on top truly looked better. I haven’t felt the urge to buy it though, as I had another SPF to use this summer (read about it here!), but I will definitely keep it in mind next year!

Kiehl’s Micro-Blur Skin Perfector

Let’s say it straight away: this is going to be my next primer purchase as soon as it arrives at my counter. Think Benefit Porefessional but a lot lighter on the skin, and with more ease of application. Have you ever felt the Benefit one (which I loved and used a whole jumbo size of!) dragging on your skin when applying it? Well, forget it with this one. It smooths everything gliding over the skin and without balling up like silicone products can sometimes do. It makes foundation application a breeze and it’s meant to have some great skincare benefits too, refining skin texture. I love it!

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer

This stuff is amazing as everyone says. It comes out as a fairly thick white lotion, but as soon as you start applying it it disappears into the skin leaving it perfected and so, so smooth. It’s meant to repel water to increase makeup wear, and while, again, I don’t have huge problems with foundation lasting on me I think it works. It’s such a pleasure to apply and putting makeup over the top feels amazing! I might consider investing in a travel size when I get to see the brand in person, as it’s more expensive than other alternatives, but it’s really, really great.

So, to sum it up: a clear winner (the Kiehl’s one!), a close expensive runner-up (Hourglass), a summer one (Laura Mercier) and a meh one that will be welcomed as a sample (Make Up For Ever).

Make Up Forever HD Primer

Per prima cosa, notate quanto è bella questa minitaglia. È favolosa! Questo primer è una lozione bianco trasparente che è fatta per migliorare l’applicazione e la tenuta del fondotinta, creando una barriera tra la pelle e il trucco e offrendo anche benefici skincare. È una buona base levigante per il fondotinta, e forse ne migliora la tenuta, ma di solito con un velo di cipria è un problema che non mi si presenta, quindi non posso dirlo con certezza. Mi è però piaciuto molto utilizzarlo per alleggerire i fondotinta per renderli più simili a creme colorate: è quello che ho usato la scorsa primavera per finire il mio Armani Luminous Silk che era insopportabilmente spesso e visible sulla mia pelle.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - Protect

Offrendo una protezione solare SPF 30/PA +++, è un primer perfetto per l’estate. Ha l’aspetto e l’odore di un solare appunto, e non so come ma funziona. Ha lo stesso scopo di quello MUFE di creare una barriera tra la pelle e il makeup, e penso che lo faccia meglio. È anche incredibilmente leggero sulla pelle vista la consistenza da protezione solare, e qualunque fondotinta io abbia usato sopra ha avuto un effetto migliore. Non ho però sentito la necessità di comprarlo visto che avevo un altra protezione da usare quest’anno (ne parlo qui!), ma lo terrò sicuramente in mente l’anno prossimo!

Kiehl’s Micro-Blur Skin Perfector

Diciamolo subito: questo sarà il mio prossimo acquisto in fatto di primer appena arriva al mio counter. Pensate a Benefit Porefessional ma molto più leggero sulla pelle, e più facile da applicare. Vi è mai sembrato che il primer Benefit (che ho adorato e du cui ho usato un’intera jumbo size!) facesse quasi resistenza durante l’applicazione? Bene, dimenticatevelo con questo. Leviga la pelle scivolandoci sopra e senza formare palline come fanno a volte i prodotti siliconici. Rende l’applicazione del fondotinta facilissima e dovrebbe anche avere dei benefici skincare, levigando la texture della pelle. Lo adoro!

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer

È favoloso come tutti dicono. Appare come una lozione piuttosto spessa, ma appena si comincia ad applicare sparisce sulla pelle lasciandola perfezionata e davvero levigata. È pensato per respingere l’acqua per aumentare la tenuta del trucco, e di nuovo, la tenuta del fondotinta per me non è un grosso problema ma penso che funzioni. È così piacevole da applicare e stendere il makeup dopo è fantastico! Potrei considerare il formato da viaggio quando avrò l’opportunità di vedere la marca di persona, visto che è più costoso di altre alternative, ma è davvero favoloso!

Quindi, per riassumere: un chiaro vincitore (quello Kiehl’s!), un vicino ma caro secondo posto (Hourglass), uno perfetto per l’estate (Laura Mercier) e uno così così che sarò lieta di ricevere come campione (Make Up For Ever).

Beauty Bag - The Maia Edition

Today I want to introduce you to Maia, the blogger behind The Beauty Mess. We started our blogs around the same time, and I like hers so much! So, without further ado, here's a closer look at the contents of her current makeup bag!

So I’ve got a bronze-y coloured make-up bag by Ted Baker. It’s my favourite, and I got it in the Boxing Day Sales last year! It fits all of my make-up must-haves, so let’s dive straight in, shall we?

First I use my trusty Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. This stuff is just a pro at covering those spots that seem to appear right at the wrong time (honestly...) and I’ve gone through tube after tube! I’m sure you all know too much about this concealer, so we’re going to swiftly move on to my newest purchase – my Revlon Colourstay Foundation. Holy moly is this stuff good. Loads of beauty bloggers have sworn by this product, and when I saw it staring at me on the shelf I knew it had to be mine. The formula is incredible, the medium coverage is perfect, and it lasts me a whole day at college (including the two 40 minute walks to and from the train station!). Faultless.

Then I powder with the amazing Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder. Every beauty blogger on the block knows about this powder, and I find it is simply amazing for its price. It’s certainly the only powder that I’ve found myself buying over and over again! Once my face is set, I bronze my cheeks with The Body Shop Honey Bronzing Powder. I love how this stuff blends in so beautifully, and I use the palest colour, which works wonders against my pale-as-a-ghost skin. I suddenly look glowing, and I’m certainly not complaining. I then contour with the well known and well loved Sleek Contour and Highlight Palette. This is the palette for me. It’s actually a rediscovery when I was trying to find a lipstick, and I wonder why I ever put it back in my drawer. I use it with the Real Techniques Contour Brush, and I’ve gotten lots of comments about my contouring since using it (good comments, let me point out). The highlight it also just as amazing, with it adding a natural and pretty shine without looking like you’ve swiped glitter on your cheeks (oops!). Sometimes, I add some Mac Blush in Warm Soul to add a cute blush to my cheeks on those sunny days!

I then get out my Urban Decay Naked Basics to do my eyes (and my eyebrows, but more on that later...) and I use W.O.S as a base, Naked 2 blended over half my eye, and Faint blended in the outer corners. Perfect, simple, amazing. If you need an eye palette and you don’t mind splashing out (a little!) then go for this palette, because I use every single one and I don’t know how I coped before! Talking brows, I also use Naked 2 to fill mine in, because I’ve discovered that it’s the perfect shade that matches my natural eyebrows, and so I’ve got even more for my money...how good is that?!

I curl my eyelashes with The Body Shop Eyelash Curlers. I actually got those for free because of (accidently) spending so much in there, but I’m totally cool with that because boy do they create some kick-ass curls! For mascara I use the L’Oreal Million Lashes Excess, which is yet another rediscovery now that my No7 mascara has been used up. I love how volumized your lashes go with this mascara, but they do make my eyelashes droop after a while which is a pain! Luckily, the formula is so amazing that I can live with that!

Lastly, it’s time for the lips. I start of by moisturising them, and for this I use the Blistex MedPlus Lip Balm. I’ve raved about this product over on my blog, and it’s basically the bees knees. It’s soothing and tingly and I could never convert back to Vaseline after this stuff. I’ve actually discovered the world of lipstick recently, when before I was wary as my lips are really small. I wanted a bold darker lip for Autumn (quite possibly my favourite season) and so I went for the Rimmel London Kate Moss lipstick in 31. I absolutely love this lipstick. Everything about it is on point: the formula, the colour, the amazing lasting power. I think I’m going to go buy a few more...

Fitness and Me

Let’s talk fitness today. I want to share my experience with you, and hear about yours!

I’ve been going to the gym, on and off, for a discrete number of years now. And I’ve experienced a few different approaches to exercise too, discovering which one is my favourite so far.

After a few years of a indefinite cross between contemporary and jazz dance from 7 to 11, I stopped doing anything for a few years. I wish I didn’t stop as I always loved it, but I had started playing piano at the conservatory and fitting in all the classes was beginning to be a nightmare. It was fine for a while, but then my total lack of physical activity started to show.

I started going to the gym, taking group classes. Well, I seriously think nothing changed. There was a serious lack of details in how to perform the exercises, and if it wasn’t for me trying my best to copy the teacher I could have done it all completely wrong.

It wasn’t until I found a special class that was more bodyweight exercises mixed in with serious training (running with ankle weights, well explained and executed lunges and squats) that I started seeing a difference.

When I started to go to a different gym, after a few months of break from exercising again, I started taking classes again and another time the results were so little and the progress so slow, even though I was really putting everything into it, that I stopped again. I approached the cardio/weights room, and since it was my first time there and I was a girl… They put me on every cardio machine known to man and that was meant to be my training. I bet you are starting to see where I’m going now…

Cardio only = a couple of kg less and stop. And that’s when I stopped exercising again, this time for a bit longer. Until a year and a half ago, when looking for something to do at home I discovered FitnessBlender on YouTube. Well, it’s been a revelation for me. Every type of training, every kind of necessity in time and intensity has an answer in their huge collection of videos. I started doing something every day, choosing a different style of training in a different day of the week, and the difference was huge. I was improving at an impressive rate. And that progress gave me the motivation to eat better too: I kinda knew what was good for me and what wasn’t, I just needed something to stick to.

With the confidence that improvement gave me last summer I decided to join a gym, and to ask specifically for weight training. Well, I didn’t even need to. It was what they taught me to do the first time I went there, and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for my body. I quick achieved the best shape of my life and I was dramatically improving every single day. I found the best thing for my, and I think everyone’s, body. A little bit of cardio once a week, and two or three sessions of weight training.

But unfortunately there’s not a happy ending yet. Because I was so used to stop after a while, exactly like I always did with eating “well”, at the beginning of this year I started going to the gym less and less. And after all the weight lost in a perfect way, I kept eating fairly well but with less… Structure. I know what’s good for me: a good diet of fruit, vegetables and protein with a little bit of daily carbs and a weekly meal or two of anything-I-want. And so without training and eating discipline all the progress I made slowly started to fade.

Luckily, at the beginning of the summer I started going to the gym again. I have to start being more consistent (I have to add at least a day of cardio a week, and I’d like to add another session on weight training too) and start to eat like I know I should again. It’s a bit hard to fit it all in, but I know I can. I want that “best shape of my life” back!

This is a little tale about my fitness journey and at the same time a little promise, like a spur for me to stick what I know it’s the best thing I can do for my body. I would like to hear your experiences too!

Vado in palestra, un po’ sì e un po’ no, da un discreto numero di anni ormai. È ho sperimentato diversi approvi all’attività fisica, scoprendo qual’è il mio preferito finora.

Dopo qualche anno di un’indefinito incrocio tra danza contemporanea e jazz dai 7 agli 11 anni, smisi di fare qualunque attività per qualche anno. Mi dispiace di aver smesso perché mi é sempre piaciuto, ma avevo cominciato a studiare pianoforte al conservatorio e incastrare tutte le lezioni era diventato un incubo. Per un po’ andò tutto bene, ma ad un certo punto la mia totale mancanza di attività fisica iniziò a essere evidente.

Cominciai ad andare in palestra, facendo lezioni di gruppo. Bene, onestamente penso che non abbiano avuto nessun effetto. C’era una notevole mancanza di dettagli su come eseguire gli esercizi, e se non fosse stato per il mio tentativo di copiare al meglio l’insegnante avrei potuto fare tutto completamente sbagliato. Questo finché non trovai una lezione particolare in cui si eseguivano esercizi a corpo libero insieme a esercizi più “seri” (corsa con le cavigliere, affondi e squat ben spiegati e fatti eseguire correttamente) che mi permise di vedere una differenza.

Quando cambiai palestra, dopo qualche mese di pausa, cominciai a seguire di nuovo i corsi e di nuovo i risultati furono così piccoli e il progresso così lento, nonostante io mi impegnassi al massimo, che smisi di nuovo. Mi interessai alla sala cardio e pesi, e visto che per me era la prima volta ed ero una ragazza… Mi dissero di fare ogni attrezzo cardio conosciuto e quello sarebbe dovuto essere il mio allenamento. Scommetto che cominciate a capire dove voglio arrivare…

Solo attività cardio = un paio di chili in meno e basta. E fu lì che smisi di nuovo di fare una qualsiasi attività, questa volta per un bel po’. Fino ad un anno e mezzo fa, quando cercando qualcosa da fare a casa scoprii FitnessBlender su Youtube. Beh, per me è stata una rivelazione. Ogni tipo di allenamento, ogni tipo di necessità in tempo e intensità ha una risposta nella loro immensa selezione di video. Iniziai a fare qualcosa ogni giorno, scegliendo un diverso tipo di allenamento in un giorno diverso della settimana, e la differenza fu immensa. Miglioravo a una velocità incredibile. E quel progresso mi diede la motivazione di cui avevo bisogno anche per mangiare meglio: sapevo più o meno che cosa era giusto per me e che cosa no, avevo solo bisogno di qualcosa che mi facesse essere costante.

Con la fiducia che quel miglioramento mi diede la scorsa estate decisi di andare di nuovo in palestra e di chiedere specificatamente della sala pesi. Beh, questa volta non ebbi neanche bisogno di chiederlo. Fu la prima cosa che mi spiegarono il primo giorno, ed è la cosa migliore che io abbia mai fatto per il mo fisico. Raggiunsi velocemente la migliore forma della mia vita e il miglioramento era notevole ogni giorno. Trovai la cosa migliore per il mio corpo e credo per quello di chiunque. Un po’ di cardio una volta alla settimana, e due o tre sessioni di allenamento con pesi e macchinari.

Sfortunatamente però non c’è ancora un lieto fine. Essendo così abituata a smettere dopo un po’, esattamente come ero solita fare con il “mangiare bene”, all’inizio di quest’anno cominciai ad andare in palestra sempre di meno. E dopo il peso perso in maniera così esemplare, continuai a mangiare abbastanza bene ma con meno… Struttura. Io so che cosa è giusto per me: una buona dieta di frutta, verdura, proteine e un pochino di carboidrati tutti i giorni, con uno o due pasti alla settimana in cui mangiare quello che voglio. E senza allenamento e disciplina nell’alimentazione tutto il progresso che avevo fatto iniziò a sfumare.

Fortunatamente, all’inizio dell’estate ho cominciato ad andare di nuovo in palestra. Devo cominciare ad essere più costante (devo aggiungere una giornata di cardio alla settimana e mi piacerebbe aggiungerne anche una di allenamento con i pesi) e ricominciare a mangiare di nuovo come so che va bene per me. Voglio quella “forma migliore della mia vita” indietro!

Questo è un piccolo racconto sul mio rapporto con il fitness e allo stesso tempo una piccola promessa che metto qui, come un incentivo per me per fare quello che so essere la cosa migliore per il mio corpo. Mi piacerebbe ascoltare anche le vostre esperienze!

Lancôme Grandiôse

If you’re a regular reader of beauty blogs you’ve already seen this new gorgeous mascara from Lancôme, Grandiôse. And I bet you’ve been curious about it, and tempted by the rave reviews. Well, I’m here to tell you: it’s amazing!

Being a huge lover of L’Oréal mascaras I rarely buy more expensive ones. I happily use samples of them - I adore Chanel Le Volume, Make Up Forever Smoky Extravagant, Guerlain Cils d’Enfer -, but when I need to buy one L’Oreal doesn’t disappoint. This one though came out at the perfect time: I had just finished my L’Oréal False Lash Flutter Waterproof, my Guerlain sample couldn’t last forever and I had 15% off at Sephora. I would have been rude not to!

This mascara has an innovative “swan neck” wand, that is meant to make application easier on both eyes. From what I can see on the directions included it should specifically help applying it to both eyes with the same hand. Well, after years of training I change my hand between eyes, so this could be not so useful for me. But the secret of making the most from this beautiful mascara is turning the wand following the eye shape. Let me try to explain:

1) I start with the upper lashes holding the handle from the bottom, a bit like I would normally do

2) then, coming to the outer corner, I flip it up to lift the outer lashes

3) for the lower lashes, I start holding the tip of the wand towards my nose

4) and coming to the outer corner I flip it with the tip towards the outer corner of my eye

I then change eye and hand and the process is just specular. I hope it’s clear enough!

Speaking of the effect this mascara gives, it’s crazy volume and blackness at first swipe. It’s not the most defining one I’ve tried, but it doesn’t make the lashes clump either. The volume is great, it elongates too and the curl it creates on my ok-lashes is amazing. It’s perfect for the lower lashes as the brush is the perfect size without being too small for the upper ones, and the formula is great too as it doesn’t smudge or flake even after a really long day. It’s got one of those plastic wands and it works perfectly. The things I love the most are the easiness of use and the blackest of blacks of the formula: it’s simply perfect!

Is this worth the high price mark? I always think that a mascara that gets thrown away after three months shouldn’t cost like a foundation or a blush that lasts a lot longer, but in this case, if you have a bit of money to spend on it and you’re curious, try it. It’s really a brilliant idea and i can’t really find a single wrong thing about it!

Essendo una grande fan dei mascara L’Oréal compro raramente mascara più costosi. Di questi uso volentieri campioni - adoro Le Volume de Chanel, Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant, Guerlain Cils d’Enfer -, ma quando ho bisogno di comprarne uno L’Oréal non mi delude mai. Questo mascara però è uscito nel momento perfetto: avevo appena finito il mio Ciglia Finte Farfalla Waterproof, il mio campione Guerlain non poteva durare per sempre e avevo uno sconto del 15% da Sephora. Non potevo lasciarmelo scappare!

Questo mascara ha un’innovativa impugnatura a collo di cigno, che è disegnata per rendere l’applicazione più facile su entrambi gli occhi. Da quello che leggo sulle istruzioni dovrebbe aiutare particolarmente l’applicazione con la stessa mano su entrambi gli occhi. Beh, dopo anni di allenamento cambio mano tra un occhio e l’altro, quindi non è per me particolarmente utile. Ma il segreto per ottenere il massimo da questo bellissimo mascara è ruotare l’applicatore seguendo la forma dell’occhio. Proverò a spiegarmi:

1) comincio dalle ciglia superiori impugnando l’applicatore dal basso, un po’ come farei normalmente

2) quindi, all’angolo esterno, lo giro in modo da impugnarlo dall’alto e “sollevare” le ciglia più esterne

3) per le ciglia inferiori, inizio con la punta rivolta verso il naso

4) e avvicinandomi all’angolo esterno ruoto l’applicatore in modo che la punta vada verso l’angolo esterno dell’occhio

Quindi cambio occhio e mano e il processo è semplicemente speculare. Spero che sia abbastanza chiaro!

Parlando dell’effetto, dona volume eccezionale e un nero nerissimo alla prima passata. Non è il mascara che definisce meglio le ciglia tra quelli che ho provato, ma non le unisce neanche e non forma grumi. L’effetto volumizzante è incredibile, allunga le ciglia e la curva che dona alle mie ciglia “ok” è spettacolare. È anche perfetto per le ciglia inferiori visto che l’applicatore è della misura perfetta senza essere troppo piccolo per quelle superiori, e la formula è fantastica visto che non cola o si sbriciola anche dopo una giornata molto lunga. L’applicatore è di quelli in plastica/gomma è funziona perfettamente. Le cose che preferisco sono la facilità di applicazione e il colore nerissimo della formula: semplicemente perfetti!

Vale il prezzo elevato? Penso sempre che un mascara che viene buttato dopo tre mesi non debba costare quanto un fondotinta o una blush che durano molto di più, ma in questo caso, se potete e siete curiose, provatelo. È davvero un’idea geniale e non riesco a trovare nessun difetto!

A Chanel Fall

When a few months ago the Chanel Fall Collection, États Poétiques, started to appear on the web I knew one thing was made for me: one of the Rouge Coco Shines. No shimmer, more color pay off? Count me in! I can’t get enough of sheer comfortable lipstick formulas.

When I spotted the new collection at Sephora the things that were made for me, as it happens, became two. And so I left with the Ombre Essentielle in 106, Hésitation and the Rouge Coco Shine in 94, Confident.

As you can see it’s all a bit matchy-matchy there, but this doesn’t stop me to wear them together, as you can see in this Instagram picture.

Hésitation is a gorgeous pink plum that pulls a bit burgundy with the softest color-coordinated shimmer running through, and is wonderfully blendable. My favourite way to wear it is on the lid blended softly at the crease, with a simple line of black liner (my trusty Benefit They’re Real Push-Up liner!). As a bonus its red tones really make the green tinge of my eyes really stand out, and I love anything that does that!

Confident is a dark plummy pink that goes on smoothly on the lips leaving a gorgeous hint of colour with one swipe. With two it becomes more intense and looks more like muted plum on my fairly pigmented lips. It’s as gorgeous as I was hoping it to be!

Together they make the perfect make up for the upcoming autumn, which as you may have noticed I can’t wait for!

Quando qualche mese fa la collezione autunnale Chanel, États Poétiques, incominciò ad apparire online capii subito che una cosa era fatta per me: uno dei rossetti Rouge Coco Shine. Senza shimmer, e con più colore? Eccomi! Non posso sottrarmi a una formula trasparente e confortevole.

Quando ho visto la nuova collezione da Sephora le cose fatte per me, come spesso capita, sono diventate due. E così ho portato via con me un Ombre Essentielle in 106, Hésitation e un Rouge Coco Shine in 94, Confident.

Come potete vedere è tutto un po’ matchy-matchy, ma ciò non mi ferma dall’indossarli insieme, come potete vedere in questa foto su Instagram.

Hésitation è un meraviglioso rosa prugna che tende un po’ al bordeaux con meravigliosi shimmer dello stesso colore, e si sfuma meravigliosamente. Il mio modo preferito di portarlo è sulla palpebra sfumato leggermente al confine con la piega, con una semplice linea di eyeliner nero (il mio fidato Benefit They’re Real Push-Up Liner!). In più accentua la componente verde dei miei occhi, e adoro qualunque cosa lo faccia!

Confident è un rosa prugna scuro che scorre morbidamente sulle labbra lasciando un meraviglioso velo di colore con una passata. Con due diventa più intenso e sulle mie labbra piuttosto pigmentate appare come un tenue prugna. È meraviglioso come speravo che fosse!

Insieme sono il look perfetto per l’autunno in arrivo, che come avrete notato aspetto con ansia!

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Plum Jam

I’ve received a little gift from London. My boyfriend’s mother, sister and aunt went there in August for the first time and came back with a product I’d been wanting to try for a while (thank you!!!), a Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick from Soap & Glory.

Let’s say it straight away: I’m in love! I’m a big fan of sheer moisturizing lipsticks, and this one is just perfect. It glides on the lips leaving a high shine finish, and slightly patting it in with fingertips tones it down a bit making it possibly even more gorgeous.

The shade Plum Jam is a gorgeous deep reddish rose, that I’ve seen described online as a burgundy berry which I find pretty accurate. When applied liberally without patting it in the more burgundy tones are more evident, and patted in is slightly more of a deep rose shade.

One of the best things is the way it wears off: being so moisturizing my lips just absorb it, keeping the smoothing effect for a long time. It lasts for a couple of hours before starting to fade, but can be reapplied in seconds.

The shape of the crayon is the one we’ve learnt to know with all the ones that are on the market now, but the consistency of this product is perfect for it as it’s possible to not flatten the tip too much (despite being so moisturizing it doesn’t change shape too much with use) and to use the straight part on the lips easily.

I’ve been wearing this a lot as I adore its smooth effect on the lips, and it’s the perfect shade for the upcoming autumn too!

Ho ricevuto un regalo da Londra. La mamma, la sorella e la zia del mio fidanzato sono state lì per la prima volta ad agosto e sono tornate con un prodotto che volevo provare da un po’ (grazie!!!), un Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick di Soap & Glory.

Diciamolo subito: lo adoro! Sono una grande fan dei rossetti sheer idratanti, e questo è semplicemente perfetto. Scivola sulle labbra lasciando un finish super luminoso, e tamponandolo leggermente con le dita viene attenuato un po’ rendendolo se possibile ancora più bello.

La tonalità Plum Jam è un meraviglioso rosa scuro tendente al rosso, che ho visto descritto come un bordeaux-lampone secondo me in maniera abbastanza accurata. Quando applicato liberamente senza tamponarlo i toni bordeaux sono più evidenti, se tamponato appare di più come un rosa scuro.

Una delle cose migliori è il modo in cui piano piano svanisce dalle labbra: essendo così idratante le mie labbra lo assorbono letteralmente, mantenendo l’effetto levigante per molto tempo. Dura un paio d’ore prima di cominciare a sparire, ma può essere riapplicato in un attimo.

La forma del matitone è quella che abbiamo imparato a conoscere con tutte quelle che si trovano ormai sul mercato, ma la consistenza di questo prodotto è perfetta visto che è possibile non appiattire troppo la punta (nonostante sia così idratante non cambia troppo forma con l’uso) e usare la parte piatta sulle labbra facilmente.

Lo sto indossando tantissimo visto che adoro il suo effetto perfettamente liscio sulle labbra, ed è il colore perfetto per l’autunno in arrivo!

What post on your blog are you most proud of and why?

My most popular one is about the L’Oreal Infallible Nail Polish, but the one I felt the most passionate about is my review of the Benefit Push-Up Liner! The one I’m most literally proud of may actually be my Barcelona post, about my recent holiday there. I loved writing it and I think it could be a great reference if you plan to visit!

What do you do for your 'day job' if you aren't a full time blogger?

I guess we can really say I’m a student. I study Pharmacy and I’m also starting a Beautician three year course next month, but I’m already doing a bit of both as they’re my family business. 

Nail polish or eye shadow?

Next question? ;P Well, it hurts me to say nail polish, but on a daily basis I can go without eyeshadow but not without nail polish.

If you could be anyone else for a day, who would you choose?

Hard question. A version of me with superpowers counts?

What inspired you to start blogging?

I’ve been reading blogs for years (probably since the “beginning”) and I pretty much had my own in my mind. It was time to start writing about something I love so much as beauty!

Beauty product that changed your life?

I’m going to cheat a bit here, but I’m gonna say the constant innovation in foundation formulas. It might be that my skills have improved and I know how to treat my skin better at the same time, but I feel like every year they’ve improved making so easy to find something really close to perfection.

If money and pain were no objects, would you have cosmetic surgery?

I really don’t think so. I’d prefer to be truly and completely able to do what’s best for my body food and training wise as I know I can achieve awesome results if I put 100% into it.

What song would you (or have you) have played at your wedding?

Heaven from Bryan Adams, and an obscene amount of Queen songs through the whole party.

Name one beauty disaster you've had?

Orange foundation when desperately trying to make a lot of drugstore foundations work for me. It hurts me so so much!

Where do you want to be in ten years time?

Let’s say the perfect version that is nearly realistic though: an awesome and reasonably big flat with my boyfriend, and work being for the most part management and teaching in my fields. And an awesome holiday in a new place each summer! And, well, still writing about beauty. ;)

After a couple of months, I have another set of empties to share with you (see the previous one here). I tend to be quite disciplined with skincare and use something till the very last drop if it works for me, hence so many skincare empties and not so many makeup ones! Let’s see what I’ve used up recently.

Sanoflore Aqua Magnifica

This toner is aimed at combination oily skins, and it’s meant to refine the skin and help with imperfections. It was lovely and I think it worked to some extent, but I haven’t felt the need to repurchase it. It contains a lot of essential oils so it smells amazing, but it’s something to keep in mind for sensitive skin.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir

You know I love this as I already mentioned it here. It smells amazing and gives the skin a lovely glow, and it’s also so refreshing. It’s perfect to use as a toner in the morning! I haven’t repurchased it yet but I know I will, as I fall in love with it every single time!

Rilastil Multirepair Eye and Lip Contour Cream

I loved this as an eye cream, and it lasted ages too! It’s the perfect product to use at night as it moisturizes amazingly without being too rich, but the times I’ve used it under makeup has worked well too. I already mentioned it here! I won’t be repurchasing this soon as I want to try other products, but I loved it!

La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Légére

This is an amazing moisturizer. It gives a lot of moisture to the skin again without being too rich. I used it from middle may till the start of august, morning and night, and it never felt too much on my normal slightly combination skin, all while keeping it hydrated. I talked about it here and here with my whole skincare routine if you want to find a bit more!

L’Oréal Paris False Lash Flutter Waterproof

This is one of the best mascaras I’ve ever tried, and the best waterproof one without a doubt. It isn’t available in Italy so I bought it last summer in Berlin and kept it for the next summer, and it didn’t disappoint. As the regular version, it gives amazing length and definition without forgetting the volume. Definitely one of the very few waterproof mascara I’ve liked!

I already have a couple of things on their way to being empty, so another post shouldn’t be too far! I love finishing products as I know I’ve loved them, or at least liked them. And having space for new ones is the best feeling!

Sono passati un paio di mesi dal mio primo post sui prodotti finiti, e ora ne ho altri da condividere con voi. Tendo ad essere abbastanza disciplinata per quanto riguarda la cura del viso e se qualcosa funziona lo uso fino all’ultima goccia, per questo ci sono così tanti prodotti di skincare e non altrettanti di makeup! Vediamo ora che cosa ho finito ultimamente.

Aqua Magnifica Sanoflore

Questo tonico è pensato per pelli miste e grasse, ed ha come scopo di levigare la pelle ed eliminare le imperfezioni. Mi è piaciuto e penso che abbia funzionato almeno in parte, ma non ho sentito il bisogno di ricomprarlo. Contiene molti oli essenziali quindi ha un profumo meraviglioso, ma è una cosa da tenere a mente per le pelli molto sensibili.

Beauty Elixir Caudalie

Sapete quando mi piace visto che ne ho già parlato qui. Ha un profumo favoloso e dona alla pelle una fantastica luminosità, ed è davvero rinfrescante. È perfetto come tonico al mattino! Non l’ho ancora ricomprato ma so che lo farò, visto che me ne innamoro ogni singola volta!

Crema Contorno Occhi e Labbra Multirepair Rilastil

Mi è piaciuto molto questo contorno occhi, ed è durato anche molto a lungo! È il prodotto perfetto da usare la sera visto che idrata meravigliosamente senza essere troppo ricco, ma si è comportato benissimo anche quando l’ho usato sotto il trucco. Ve ne avevo parlato qui! Non lo ricomprerò a breve visto che voglio provare altri prodotti, ma mi è piaciuto molto!

Hydraphase Intense Légére La Roche Posay

Questa è una meravigliosa crema idratante. Di nuovo, idrata molto la pelle senza essere troppo ricca. L’ho usata da metà maggio fino all’inizio di agosto mattina e sera e non è mai risultata troppo pesante sulla mia pelle normale-mista, tutto mantenendolla idratata. Ne ho parlato qui e qui con tutta la mia routine completa se volete saperne di più!

L’Oréal Paris Ciglia Finte Farfalla Waterproof

Questo è uno dei migliori mascara che abbia mai provato, e di sicuro il migliore waterproof. Non è disponibile in Italia quindi l’ho comprato la scorsa estate a Berlino e l’ho tenuto per l’estate successiva, e non mi ha delusa. Come la versione normale, dona una lunghezza e una definizione eccezionali senza sacrificare il volume. Di sicuro uno dei pochi mascara waterproof che mi siano mai piaciuti!

Sto già per terminare un paio di cose, quindi un altro post come questo non dovrebbe essere troppo lontano! Mi piace finire prodotti perché so che mi sono piaciuti, almeno un po’. E avere spazio per cose nuove è una stupenda sensazione!
