In addition to my 15 pan palette I shared with you in my last post, I have two MAC eyeshadow quads. Let's see them!
The Neutral One
This palette contains all the shades I might need to do a neutral mat look or to complete something like a smokey eye. A bit like Naked Basics for Urban Decay, I'd say!
I use this palette a lot, especially the two lighter shades as they're perfect as a base and as a crease color.
The Red One
I am a really big fan of reddish eye shadows. They work well with my eye colour (they really make the subtle green pop!) and my skintone, and I find them appropriate for an everyday look too once you master the look.
I really adore these two quads, they all contain gorgeous shades and they work so well. The two darker shades (Carbon and Embark) may look slightly less performing pigment wise, but as they're so dark I don't see it as a problem.
Do you prefer a bigger 15 pan palette or a well coordinated quad? I love them both, I really can't decide!
Ooo more MAC eyeshadows to marvel at! Gorgeous shades, I love the look of Coppering! I need to get myself a quad as it looks like the perfect size for travelling. I tell myself this all the time as if I even travel all that much haha! x

I prefer the 15 pan, though it turns into more like 26 or 27 because I take the inserts out. I have been wanting a switch up though, so maybe I'll rearrange so that I have 15 pans.
ReplyDeleteWedge is my HG crease colour! And Brule is what I always use for highlight. Those 2 are the only shadows that I've ever used up and repurchased.
These look like lovely palettes. Great blog, I have followed you with Bloglovin and if you ever get
ReplyDeletea chance to check out my blog I would be delighted, thanks!

Thank you for sharing your quads with us, I'm making one of my own at the moment - I've started with Brule. I'm looking for blogger recommendations so will be checking your 15 pan palette out too! Xx

I only have the 15 pan palette but I think a well coordinated quad is definitely a good thing. I haven't made any because I'm afraid what will happen if I start. Lol. I have a small Z palette that I'm wanting to complete that holds my MUG (Make up Geek) shadows. Once that's done - I'll see if I'm still itching for some MAC quads. You've built two great ones there and so convenient for travel. :-)

haven't dabbled in MAC shadows in so long...but need to keep wedge on the "check it out" list. Looks like it might be something my stash needs~^^
ReplyDeleteI have both the 15 pan palette and the quads, and I think I love them both equally. I have all of those shades but now I am definitely going to go out and get the shade Mythology as is just looks like such a stunning shade.

a nude quad is def a good idea. i've been eyeing coppering for a while now...but i've since stopped collecting more MAC shadows. actually i should stop collection shadows in general! sheeesh. its not like i'm bereft of options in my giant hoard of products...

A Beautiful Zen
I think I prefer quads instead of a big palette! Since I travel alot, a big palette would not be handy at all! Espresso looks like a shade I should be picking up next time ;) xx
