Let me introduce you to my NARS Yachiyo Kabuki Brush, which I might start calling the perfect brush.
I had been seeing this brush in some blog posts and youtube videos, but I could never find it at the NARS stand at Sephora. “Cool, another thing they’re not going to sell here!”, I always thought while browsing the whole range for the millionth time. Until one day I saw it there, waiting for me. I didn’t even look at the price (I never buy too expensive brushes though - the reason why I don’t own a single MAC face brush) and put it in the basket.
Luckily, I knew it was love from the first try: it is simply perfect.
It’s perfect for blush, as it blends not so pigmented blush and really pigmented ones in the same flawless way. I like to tap the brush on the compact and then apply the blush on my cheeks in a swirling motion, and trust me, I’ve never found applying blush flawlessly so easy.
It’s perfect for bronzer or contour, as the shape of the brush blends product itself making it easy to do a subtle contour or a lovely bronzed look.
it’s perfect for highlighter, as the tip is perfect for a precise but well blended application.
I have only one fear: I keep using a spot brush cleanser every time I use it as I’m afraid to ruin the wisteria handle under running water. I must find the courage to wrap the handle and give this brush a good wash!
To sum it up, every time I’ve used another cheek brush I’ve missed this one: an expensive purchase, but so worth it!

Oggi vi presento il mio pennello Yachiyo NARS, che potrei anche cominciare a chiamare il pennello perfetto.
Avevo visto questo pennello in un po’ di post su blog o video su YouTube, ma non riuscivo mai a trovarlo da Sephora. “Fantastico, un’altra cosa che non hanno intenzione di vendere qui!”, pensavo sempre passando in rassegna l’intero assortimento per la millesima volta. Finché un giorno, eccolo lì ad aspettarmi. Non ho guardato neanche il prezzo (di solito non compro pennelli così cari però, infatti non posseggo nessun pennello viso MAC) e l’ho messo nel cestino.
Fortunatamente, è stato amore dal primo utilizzo.
È perfetto per il blush, visto che sfuma quelli più o meno pigmentati nello stesso modo impeccabile. Mi piace toccare leggermente la superficie del blush con la punta del pennello e poi applicarlo sulla guancia con movimenti rotatori, e credetemi, non ho mai trovato così facile applicare il blush in maniera perfetta.
È perfetto per il bronzer o per un po’ di contouring, per via della forma del pennello che fa sì che il pennello sfumi da solo il prodotto rendendo facile un contouring leggero o un bel look più dorato.
È perfetto per l’highlighter, visto che la punta è perfetta per una applicazione leggera e ben sfumata.
Ho solo una paura: continuo ad usare un detergente senza risciacquo ogni volta che lo uso visto che ho paura di rovinare il bellissimo manico sotto l’acqua corrente. Devo trovare il coraggio di avvolgere con un panno il manico e dare al pennello una bella lavata!
Per riassumere, ogni volta che ho usato un altro pennello per applicare qualunque cosa sulle guance questo mi è mancato molto: un acquisto costoso, ma ne è valsa la pena!
